Dr. Ian Hollaman
History & EducationWhile in college pursuing a pre-medical degree, Dr. Ian Hollaman, D.C. first became interested in chiropractic due to a first hand experience. Dr. Hollaman sought out a chiropractor to help him after becoming frustrated with using pain medications. The treatment he received not only resolved his symptoms, but the chiropractor also provided information explaining why he was experiencing the pain and what he could do to maintain his health. While receiving chiropractic care, Dr. Hollaman shadowed his doctor and observed amazing transformations in the patients receiving his doctor’s gentle touch. This experience became the catalyst for Dr. Hollaman’s avid pursuits in chiropractic, nutrition, and other cutting edge technologies to solve his patients’ health challenges. Dr. Hollaman completed his chiropractic doctorate in San Jose at Palmer West where he received the prestigious Virgil V. Strang philosophy award. Dr. Hollaman started his private practice, Red Tail Wellness Centers in Boulder, Colorado in the Fall of 2008 with Dr. Karen B Hollaman, D.C.
Philosophy
Dr. Ian Hollaman’s primary focus is to help his patients achieve their health goals through natural methods with ease of care and empowerment. He too has experienced the “machine” of traditional healthcare, and strives to provide a different type of experience for his own patients through education, understanding and effective solutions, while incorporating Applied Kinesiology, clinical nutrition and specific chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Hollaman’s pursuit to provide the best care for his patients includes the attendance of time intensive post-graduate seminars, including Applied Kinesiology, which focuses on balancing the complex muscular and biochemical systems so that care is efficient and comprehensive. Dr. Hollaman understands that every human body is different and will not recommend a pre-determined chiropractic plan. His emphasis of the Golden Rule ensures that every patient who begins care will receive a specific report of findings and recommendations to help them meet and even exceed their health goals.
Other interests
Dr. Hollaman enjoys a little known, but often-revered sport: falconry. His passion for birds of prey and helping others led to his visualization that every person can “let their health soar.” Falconry is not only a sport, it is an art of attunement with nature so that while flying a raptor one becomes closer to nature and experience the power and beauty of her gifts. Dr. Hollaman also enjoys camping, soccer, hiking, off-roading in his Toyota truck and any activity with his lovely wife and child, Karen & Cecelia.
